Savoury Snacks



I made this dip at the weekend to have with friends who came for “tea”. I always prefer savoury to sweet and so if you usually err towards a cake but fancy something a bit different that looks just as special why not bookmark and try this one weekend.


✅Sugar free

✅Gluten free

✅Packed with protein

✅Full of flavour


Recipe:

1 pack of feta

1 large bunch coriander

3 tbsps sour cream (or swap for mascarpone, silken tofu, cream cheese)

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil @citizensofsoil

2 tbsp white beans

1 large handful of walnuts

Salt and pepper


Blend (I just used @nutribulletuk ). Refrigerate until needed.

Spread out on a plate and top with one or both of the following:


Topping One:

Cucumber chopped small

Red onion finely diced

Herbs of your choice: I used coriander and parsley large handfuls chopped finely

Extra virgin olive oil

Lemon juice

Salt and pepper


Topping Two:

Carrot and beetroot roasted in the oven or air fryer for 30 mins

Chopped walnuts mixed in


(I made the topping when I was using the oven for lunch at the same time as doing food prep for the week, making Beetroot & Bean Soup , so was definitely doing good multi tasking!!)


Other SIMPLE savoury snacks


🫛Edamame beans

🥕Hummus with crudite

🥑Half an avocado with some seeds thrown in

🥜Nut butter on crackers

🍵Cup of miso soup

🥚Hard boiled egg or egg mayo on crackers


Nutritional therapy is about upgrading how you eat to support your health. Using food as medicine, getting balance and variety, but also enjoying food that is nourishing.
