They are extremely simple to make, completely delicious and incredibly nutritious.
Dates provide fibre, protein from nut butter and we all know dark chocolate (>70%) has some important antioxidants such as flavonoids and polyphenols that are worth consuming for optimal health.
This is a great way to upgrade a simple date or a cube of dark chocolate.
Flatten dates, add a tsp of nut butter, melted dark chocolate (1 cube per date is plenty) and a sprinkle of chopped pecans and pistachios plus a little sea salt, optional.
You can keep them in the fridge or freezer, enjoy with a cup of tea in the afternoon or after dinner treat. Just try not to eat them all at once!!
