A new incredibly Simple, Delicious, Nutritious summer snack…
If you, like a few of my clients, don’t enjoy the texture of yoghurt but are looking to eat more foods that support gut health then this frozen yoghurt bark could be your perfect solution!
Especially refreshing for the hot weather ☀️
Eating some fermented food such as the kefir in this recipe is a great way to support your digestive health, dental health, vaginal health, mental health, immunity.
Ways to optimise your digestion include:
➡️Slow down eating and chew well
➡️Drink plenty of water throughout the day, less with food
➡️Eat a high fibre diet, especially abundant in vegetables
➡️Reduce (keep to a minimum) refined sugars, caffeine, processed foods
➡️Deal with food intolerances that you are aware of (most common being gluten and dairy)
➡️Reduce stress: mindfulness, meditation, healthy sleep routines, exercise, talking therapy…
➡️Consume a portion of fermented / probiotic foods every day: Sauerkraut, kimchi, tempeh, kombucha, miso, live natural yoghurt, kefir
RECIPE
✨Take a sheet of baking paper and put on a plate or tray that can go in the freezer.
✨Pour on a yoghurt or kefir of your choice - for this one I used Yea Valley Mango & Passionfruit Kefir. Make into a nice round with the back of a spoon.
✨Carefully sprinkle on toppings. I used pumpkin seeds, a piece of 90% dark chocolate cut into shavings, frozen raspberries and a sprinkle of desiccated coconut.
✨Freeze for 2 hours or overnight. Cut up and enjoy!
