Balancing Hormones

There are so many symptoms of hormone imbalance that we don’t recognise for what they are. Low level symptoms that we “get used to living with”, a story I hear in my clinic often.

Women, especially put up with symptoms, somehow ingrained in them to do so.

But get this.... YOU don’t have to get used to living with terrible PMS, fatigue, mood swings, brain fog. There is so much that can be done with nutrition to ensure good gut health, liver support, nourishment of key nutrients. At the menopause workshop this week I shared how to use some specific foods to reduce symptoms and support your body in the best ways you can.

This mackerel pate - recipe below- is a perfect example of USING FOODS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE :

✅Mackerel is an excellent source of “essential” omega 3 fats, important amongst other things for cognitive function and keeping skin and membranes supple.

✅Tofu is a perfect way to ensure intake of balancing phytoestrogens* as are the alfalfa sprouts sprinkled on top. *phytoestrogens are plant foods that have oestrogen like effects and can help to balance the levels of oestrogen in your body.

✅Parsley: abundant herbs are excellent support for your liver, a fundamentally important organ in hormone balancing

✅Sauerkraut, an incredible probiotic food that will support the digestive process, another vital part of good health…. scroll across for photo of my favourite one @lauriesfoods

✅Will sit happily sit in the fridge for a few days

✅Delicious breakfast, snack, lunch.

✅Eat with crudités, crackers or a lovely whole grain or seedy bread - ✨✨✨ I have another workshop running on December 2nd, link in bio for tickets, limited so book ASAP👆 ✨✨✨If you are looking for one-to-one support check out nutrition packages on my website👆 Recipe, Smoked Mackerel Pate: 150g / ~2 smoked mackerel fillets (could also use smoked trout) 100g silken tofu (organic, non GM) 25g parsley
